Things that we will cover in this class:
- What makes a good story
- How to develop your narrative arc
- How to approach sources and research
- Bringing scenes and research to life, while balancing the two
This is an intimate, virtual class that takes place in real time. It includes some assigned reading and requires students to give feedback on each other’s work. Each participant will have the opportunity to roadmap a potential story and workshop a scene that melds a strong sense of place or character with compelling research.
