About the Journalist
Moriah Costa is a freelance journalist and editor specializing in financial journalism, the business of cannabis, food, travel, and more. An American based in Madrid, Spain, her work has appeared in a variety of international publications, including The Arizona Republic, CBD-Intel, S&P Global, Thomson Reuters, and others. She likes to follow the money and is drawn towards stories that intersect with business and travel, art and history.
For a few years, Costa worked as a reporter in Washington, D.C., where she fell in love with an Irish-Frenchman. In 2016 she quit her job and moved to England to get her master’s in Financial Journalism from City University of London. She moved to Spain to join her husband soon after.
The daughter of an artist, Costa has been making art since she could hold a paintbrush. When she’s not looking at old photos at flea markets or exploring new places, she makes mixed-media art journals and handmade watercolor paint.
