Valerie is a Bay Area-based space tourism and travel writer and blogger. She’s also a freelance writer and has worked in an ongoing capacity with Lonely Planet, as well as other travel publications like AFAR, Nat Geo Travel, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Her first book, Dark Skies: A Practical Guide to Astrotourism, was published by Lonely Planet in 2019.
