About the Journalist

Melinda Misuraca’s three essential food groups are freedom, art, and love.

Drawn to flipsides, undersides, and overlaps, Melinda writes to indulge her curiosity and get into (mostly) good trouble. Her published work can be found in the Best Travel Writing series, Salon, AlterNet, High Times, Natural Bridge, Portland Review, Adirondack Review, and the Strange Attractors: Writers Changed by Chance anthology, among other publications.

Melinda divides her time between Portugal and the U.S., where she’s an honorary member of the Cwitter Cyub, a group whose leader is two years old and rides a mean scooter.
