About the Journalist
Karen Green is a writer and editor in southwestern Ontario. Her work has appeared in many print and online venues including The Globe and Mail, CBC, Today’s Parent, Harlequin, Bustle, and The Rumpus. Prior to entering the freelance world where she specializes in travel, lifestyle, and culture writing as well as copywriting, she spent 12 years as senior copywriter at a Toronto record company. Karen is also the author of two books for young readers and is the lyricist for a line of popular children’s music. She lives with her partner, two children, a cat, and a dog and has not taken up any new hobbies while the world is on pause.
