About the Expeditioner

Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and a Master of Fine Arts in creative nonfiction writing. As a guide, she’s worked for International Mountain Guides, where she led climbing, mountaineering, and hiking expeditions around the world. She’s guided in North and South America, Europe, Alaska, Patagonia, and Nepal. She’s written about her experiences in The Alpinist, Backpacker, REI’s Uncommon Path, Stay Wild, Western Confluence, Sierra Magazine, Women’s Adventure, Misadventures, Seattle Magazine, The American Alpine Journal, Seattle Met, and many more. She is under contract to write a book about her 2019 summit of Mount Everest (29,032’).
