About the Finalist
A scientist experienced in both clinical and fundamental cell biology research, Poirier holds an MSc in cell and systems biology from the University of Toronto. He gained a vast amount of experience in underwater photography while diving in the Red Sea during a trip to Egypt in 2022 and is eager to capture images of more marine life during his inevitable return underwater.
Poirier is currently a candidate for an MSc in public health from McGill University and an MSc in data science and public health from the Université de Bordeaux. He’s expected to graduate from both programs in 2023.
