About the Journalist
Adventure Journalist Jayme Moye has been writing stories for as long as she can remember, and as a full-time career since 2009. Her most notable work explores global issues ranging from social justice to environmental conservation, through the lens of outdoor recreation and exploration.
Jayme is a two-time North American Travel Journalist Association (NATJA) Travel Journalist of the Year, for traveling to Afghanistan to report on the country’s first female cycling team, in 2014, and for breaking the story on sexism and misogyny in the whitewater-rafting industry, in 2018. She is also the recipient of the Mountaineering Article Award from the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (2019), the Keith Bellows Award for Excellence in Travel Journalism (2019), and the Lowell Thomas Award for Adventure Travel (2020).
Jayme’s writing aligns strongly with Hidden Compass’s unwavering belief in the power of story. She aspires to inspire, and to catalyze positive change in the world.
