About the Journalist
Erin Byrne is the author of Wings: Gifts of Art, Life, and Travel in France, editor of Vignettes & Postcards from Paris and Vignettes & Postcards from Morocco, and writer of The Storykeeper film. Erin’s books, travel essays, poetry, fiction, and screenplays have won awards including four Grand Prize Solas Awards for Travel Story of the Year, including the 2020 Grand Prize; the Foreword Indies Book of the Year; an Accolade Award for film; and the Pinnacle Achievement Award.
Erin has taught writing at Shakespeare and Company Bookstore in Paris, at Book Passage Bookstore in Corte Madera, CA, and on Deep Travel international workshops. Her LitWings event series featuring writers, photographers, and filmmakers has been held at Book Passage in the Bay Area and La Caféothèque in Paris.
Erin’s work is widely published, and she presents readings in many venues around the globe. She is Travel Writing Curator for The Creative Process Exhibition, which was launched at the Sorbonne and travels to the world’s leading universities. Her screenplay, Siesta, is in pre-production in Spain, and she is working on a novel, Illuminations, set in the Paris Ritz during the occupation. You can see more of her work at www.e-byrne.com.
