Christian Carias lives to share the magic of Tela, Honduras’s reefs with people. He does so daily as a scuba diving instructor and a restaurant owner specializing in invasive lionfish sushi. With more than 11 years as a dive professional, Carias has logged more than 3,000 dives and helped many people discover the underwater world for the first time. He has extensive experience in coral biology, post-storm reef response protocols, and the stabilization of coral fragments and detached colonies. Creating a documentary about Tela’s resilient and rebellious corals is one of his life’s dreams.
